SPRAT 2014 Annual Conference
The SPRAT 2014 Annual Conference was held February 5-8, 2014 at the Hilton Houston Clear Lake Hotel in Houston, Texas. The program included technical presentations of interest to rope access professionals, a Standards Committee Meeting, Equipment Testing Demonstrations, and plenty of networking opportunities. In-depth discussions include the future of rope access, regulations, techniques, and new technology.
SPRAT Olympics
Also, the 7th Annual Rope Access Olympics was held in conjunction with the event. This is a skills competition with three main events: 100′ Speed Climb, Obstacle Course, and Rescue, with the rescue being a pick off rescue from ascent.

Our very own Brian Bourquin, Lead Instructor and SPRAT Level 3, entered in the competition for the first time. Not only did he finish 4th in the Overall , he took First Place in the Rescue competition. Considering we are a safety company with a specific focus on safety & rescue in all at height scenarios, we could not be prouder of Brian showing the world what we already knew. Brian Bourquin and Safety One Training – First in Rescue!
