Fall Protection Equipment Inspection

This Training Course is designed for employees tasked with conducting a physical inspection of various Fall Protection Equipment.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive Safety One’s Fall Protection Equipment Inspection Training Certification and have efficiently demonstrated that they can:

  • Properly inspect; textile, metal and mechanical components
  • Successfully identify non-usable equipment and properly remove an item from service and render it unusable
  • Examine and evaluate components for fitness for use
  • Appropriately log each inspection

Fall Protection Equipment is often subjected to harsh environments and working conditions but serves a critical role in keeping employees safe. OSHA requires all components of a Fall Protection System be inspected periodically by a competent person. Safety One’s Fall Protection Equipment Inspection Training was developed to provide employees with the skills to make educated decisions to determine if various components are fit for use. This course is applicable for workers in telecommunications, utility, HVAC, warehouse or any other work which requires the use of fall protection equipment. Students will learn relevant OSHA safety standards and how they relate to equipment inspection. Upon successful completion students will be able to: evaluate the condition of harnesses, connectors, lanyards, anchors, backup devices and determine if their equipment is fit for use.
