15 Nov #5 of 5 – Top 5 List For Avoiding Snow Vehicle Fatalities This Winter
THINK
Finally, we offer this last piece of advice this week to keep you and your crew safe and to promote critical thinmking in your safe approach to your winter travels.
Review go or no go situations
Review the hazards with your employees and have a plan. If risk and exposure to employees cannot be mitigated to an acceptable level, there needs to be a point where the trip cannot be accomplished at that moment. Things to consider include avalanche conditions, night and extremely low visibility and general difficulty of the task beyond a particular employees skill set. Know when it is time to say no or call for additional resources.
If you have questions, please call me. We can get you in a class this winter to help you and your crew do not only what is right, but what is necessary.
Safety First!
