Tower Climbing Safety & Rescue Courses

A N.A.T.E. Guideline Compliant Fall Protection Training Course

OSHA specifies that if you have employees who climb higher than six feet they must be trained and certified in fall protection. If they are not certified, they must be under direct on-site supervision of a certified individual, and climb 100% attached. Is your company in compliance? Through the Antenna & Tower Training Center, Safety One has developed an incredible training program that will make your employees competent and your company compliant. We teach using proven and unforgettable applications which enable our students to recall rescue techniques so they can use them in a crisis, when it can make a difference!

Our comprehensive safety and rescue classes are eight-to-ten hours and are designed for men and woman who need fall protection, antenna & tower climbing, or safety and rescue training. We offer an effective balance between classroom instruction and hands-on tower climbing safety, and practical rescue scenarios. A substantial portion of our safety training covers OSHA certification topics such as: OSHA safety requirements, the physics of falls, personal protective safety equipment, fall protection safety concepts and equipment, treatment of frequently encountered tower injuries, documentation, along with solo and small group rescue deployment and safety options.

WHY SEND YOUR EMPLOYEES TO A TWO-TO-FOUR DAY SAFETY COURSE WHEN WE CAN CERTIFY THEM COMPETENTLY IN ONE DAY?

Because of our safety instructors' vast experience, unique teaching techniques, and specialized safety equipment, we make it possible to get your employees compliant in one day, rather than the two-four day alternatives which takes your employees away from what they're supposed to be doing – their jobs! Upon successful safety course completion each student will also receive a color photo ID and safety certificate.

Our safety instructors are world recognized safety experts in the field and have more than two decades experience in safety training. We continuously strive to meet the excellent student-to-instructor ratio of 6:1. Whether you're a small business, a local municipality, a utility, or the federal government, we at Safety One can help your organization stay current with OSHA's required safety training (Click here to see some of our customers and what they're saying about our safety training).

Advanced Fall Protection Classes

This class will give your basic level climber the skills and confidence to perform routine duties more safely and more quickly and also provide more specific skills to deal with any emergency that might arise while climbing. This advanced fall protection course adds to the students' basic fall protection training knowledge.

This class was developed based upon company safety officers and students requests for specialized and advanced training needs in fall protection, climbing, safety and rescue techniques on and around towers. The requesting climbers are interested in learning more about the requirements for fall protection equipment, rescue equipment and safety techniques. This safety class takes the next step in learning more about tower climbing safety and a chance to conduct more hands-on rescue scenarios. The overall goal is for the students to get more intensive hands-on applications to improve their knowledge, safety skills and abilities for safe climbing, self-rescue and multiple victim rescue.

The classroom portion will focus on OSHA and ANSI Fall Protection standards, importance of documentation, equipment logging and the latest safety equipment for fall protection and rescue. Additional course material will cover, an introduction of basic mechanical advantage systems that can be used for daily work and rescue situations, using existing safety equipment for safe, reliable and efficient training programs. A written test will conclude the end of training, covering both the cognitive and practical portions of the class.

The field/practical portion of the safety class will focus on learning more about advanced climbing and fall protection techniques and rescue techniques including but not limited to: mechanical advantage lifeline systems, anchoring techniques, lifeline edge protection, descent/lowering techniques, ascending techniques, line transfer systems and team rescue. For the remaining portion of the field/practical session, the students will be tasked with realistic problem solving exercises and evaluations that may include all aspects of the knowledge, skills and abilities to allow the student several fall protection problem-solving situations.
